After seeing The Borrow Group’s production of “The War At Home,” I was inspired to make one of the collection of shorts into a movie. I Teamed up with K. Lorrel Manning and Mike Cuomo and a great crew to make “Happy New Year.” It’s a 15 minute HVX short that turned our beautifully. The last three months were filled with a lot of excitement, too much for words. Here’s the a picture story:

It’s 12:22 am. This seems completely normal. It’s a normal hour to be awake and think about going to bed. But I have been asleep. I have been asleep for what seemed to me to be a very long time. A space-time opposite of Rip Van Winkle, I have lost myself in the contiuum. I thought it was 5 am. I don’t remember when I went to bed or why I wasn’t still awake. All I know now is the familiar cozy wrap of the blog blanket, and I am taking a risk and posting my thoughts. Not my filtered strategic ramblings, but rather my first-response gut-rip reaction to waking up from a dream where I was being asked by a sweedish tourist in a hostel why I wouldn’t sleep with her. Maybe that’s the heart of it all. Maybe my labito is trying to tell me something. Come to think of it, maybe I should just go back to bed…

Scuba diving and cats on the mind lately, so naturally I sought out some calming stimulation to satisfy my buzzing brain. Did I ever think I would get this?
